  • Limited Tape w/download
    Cassette + Digital Album

The new Korova demo, printed on clear cassettes and inserts on black uncoated stock paper with silver ink, limited to 100 copies. Four new songs of noise and power in the (lack of) tradition inspired by late 80s and 90s hardcore punk. The thick, raw sound is augmented by layered samples and circuit bent analog instruments, and the music was recorded on a cassette four track in the band’s warehouse practice space during times of extreme heat and intermittent rain storms. Lyrics deal with Southern Religion and underhanded "punk" business practices. The B side is ten minutes of live audio recorded at Magic City Wholesale during a show with Rational Animals and Vile Intent. Contains several old songs and an Infest cover.

Also includes immediate download of the cassette in your choice of 320k mp3, FLAC, or just about any other format you could possibly desire.

lyrics

Women of Sophistication

Composure and poise
A brain full of noise
Peripheral fog
Bred like a dog
A film in a frame
Without guilt or shame
A life of sophistication
With a date of expiration

They think I look at them with envy
But I just hide the hate within me
Here’s to our future and bliss
Stems in hand, where the money’s spent
And we wonder where it all went
Cynicism mistaken for jealousy
That ambition would be the death of me

Magnets

Just magnets and tape
Such an easy way to relate
It’s just been so long
So we speak through their songs
It’s a trick, just a scheme
A variation on a theme
Make it seem like this is me
But it’s a falsehood and a plea

Just magnets and tape
Such an easy way to escape
You can say that you don’t need me
But I can erase you just as easy
Just a reflection of this collection
But the next one will reflect one
With all the schemes and the dreams
The variation on the theme

So what was it all for?
Just plug in nothing
And hit record
So what was it all for?
Just plug in anything
And hit record

Shareholders Meeting

We progress
Through little doors they build us
Squeezing into a larger room
To bitch about the décor

We ingest
All the shit that they feed us
Waiting for the next boom
Instead of kicking down the door

We invest
In market shares they sell us
While the bull market looms
On the stock room floor

We inquest
What their motives are with us
And why we just consume
Yet we all ask for more

Pieces of plastic
And I’ve just got to have it
Limit the stock on hand
To increase our demand
A value accrued
That the market construed
Insider traders made it up
And all of us ate it up

Prophet With One Eye

Take an idea
And sell it on the street
Like the dogs in the park
Or the Alabama heat
Turn a profit from the pain
From everyone you meet

Create a mob from the masses
And set it to react
A cause you can define
Because it’s something abstract
Push all the right buttons
In the people you distract
